Appreciation and the bomb

"I gathered you here to say my last peace
A few final words before I am deceased
If I could have your attention, observe this fuse
It leads to these explosives that I'm about to use
Before you freak out just let me explain
This bomb is the answer to all my pain

If there's one thing I've learned
It's that we never feel the heat until we get burned
But we try so hard not to die
Sometimes we forget to appreciate life

When the spark reaches powder
I will blow up
I'll become the mist you breathe into your lungs
All of my love will then turn into yours
And you will feel hope bleeding out from your pores"

its nice to see that some people still put a meaning to the music they write.

Chivalry is not dead

Yesterday a very small thing made my day. At work last night, I waited on a Soldier and his family. I think he had already gone to war. The way he walked seemed as if he carried an injury and tried to hide it. I felt very honored to be able to do such a minor thing for him, serve someone who served our country.

Another server approached me and said "when the soldier is finished with his meal, bring me his bill. The gentleman at my table wants to pay his tab"

I was literally speechless. I went to the gentlemans table and brought him the bill and asked what should I do if the soldier would like to know who paid his bill. The gentleman said to me "Tell him that id like to stay anonymous, but I want to thank him for the great service he does for us"

When the soldier finished his meal and asked for the check, i very proudly replied "actually sir, your bill has already been paid by another guest in the restaurant. He wanted to say thank you for the service you do for our country". The soldier looked at me with such appreciation in his eyes, shook my hand and said "thank you so much, i feel very honored, please tell the gentleman thank you as well".

It was great to see that a some people will still go out of their way for a stranger in uniform. Make sure at the table this year when you give thanks, give thanks to kindness and for our military. Whether or not you support the war, there is someone out there fighting so you dont have to, and you should be thankful for that.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

man. today is just one of those days. i hit the water main to the house last night with the lawn mower so we didnt have water last night. i spent all morning trying to fix the water main and it still leaks, plus, no water. why cant things just be simple for a day or two. my brain is going 1000 miles a minute because im so angry about all this. i hate feeling helpless... its already hard enough for me to study.

tomorrow will be better. i know it, but getting through today is the fight.

class starts today. im not excited. i havent written in here in a while.. nothing too new. still working at outback.. its ok. shannon and i are doing well :). i have 18 more credits at bcc. 2 more semesters and i am leaving home. seems weird to me. i guess the one of the reasons why i never left to all the schools i was accepted was because im comfortable at home. ive saved a lot of money for when i am ready to leave. well.. a little money. hah. i need to go buy.. paper and a folder. i have about an hour left before class.

i havent updated in a while. uhh... i dont know if anything is new?

class is class.. i mean, whatever, its going ok. its alot of hard work though.. i wish i were doing better. im doing awesome in math (which is funny because i suck at math) but i think its because i spend most of my time working on math. i need to learn to balance out my time and such so i can focus on my other subjects.

spring break starts on saturday(or monday, whatever) and im leaving for orlando on sunday to see Owen. oh yes. Owen. if u dont know, Owen is Mike Kinsella, the mastermind behind American Football. ill probably be taking a rediculious amount of pictures. I gotta meet this man. Seriously, hes freaking amazing.

I applied for a new job last week and i have an interview today. I applied at Outback. My brother Ivan works there and my brother Alex just got a job and hopefully soon ill be working there. Were a very close knit family, we travel in groups. hah.. Im excited but im also nervous. I havent had a job interview in a long time, so i cant remember what its like.

If i get this job, im going to quit(notice) Applebees. I like the people (my friends that work there) but there are some new people that just dont do any work.. and it makes me not even want to work because if everyone is half-assing it, whats the point? I dont want to be giving my all while other people just dont care... so ive noticed lately i havent really wanted to work as hard. I dont keep up on my sidework, i just dont care anymore and it sucks because i want to care. All the managers know already that im applying and they are breaking my balls about it everyday. If they keep it up, even if I dont get the job, ill give notice, just so they cant give me a hard time anymore.

I just installed(well.. my dad installed hah) noiseless pickups in my tele. it sounds pretty sweet.. not noiseless, but def a brighter tele sound. i think i have to adjust the pickups to reduce the buzz... i also picked up a black pickguard. it looks bad ass. ill probably post a couple pics just because im so proud. hah alright i gotta finish homework. wish me good luck on that interview. <strike>if i get this job</strike> when i get this job, things will be good. i know it

[EDIT]i don't think i did that great on the interview... but.. i did get the job! :] hell yes.

wow.. so.. im sick and i slept for a little bit and now i cant fall back asleep.. so i figured i would update. haha

i just watched the movie seven.. and u know how u have like.. really weird ass sick dreams(as in when you are sick)? well mine was nuts because i didnt finish watching the movie. i woke up bound with my bedsheets in every direction.

i went with shannon and saw dane cook on friday. fucking awesome.

uhhh... i dont even know how long its been since ive written in here. i think it was thanksgiving... so since then, shannon threw me a kick ass suprise party (which whoever came out was badass and i thank u again) for my birthday.. i got a fender 40w tube amp for christmas from my parents and a victoria skim board from shannon... so i need to start leaving my house to go skimming. my amp kicks alot of ass. i think the neighbors are now selling their house.

new classes, new responsibility. taking religion, biology, bio lab, accounting, and college algebra... so ill be busy all semester.

im going to drive to orlando to see owen and <strike>i think i might fly to georgia to see matt pond pa.</strike> ive never traveled so i want to. ive only left florida to another state once. i want to see nyc, pa, seattle, la, san antonio... so many places i wanna see. hopefully ill have my aa by next year. i need to get the ball rollin. shannon and i both got straight A's last semester because we are kick ass. alright i gotta try and get some sleep. i cant believe he shot him (seven)... haha..

so.. i have 2 tests today. 1 in computers (which should be easy) and 1 in math (which should be.. medium to hard). Saturday is my 3 year 6 month with Shannon and we were suppose to go see Minus the Bear with Alex, but i just found out that its sold out. Im almost a little discouraged to go tell them both because I got them both a little amped up to see them. i havent written in here in a little while. i dont know if anyone reads this but shannon and myself, so i dont know if it is worth updating. So.. i dont know. haha. School is ok. I dont think im doing too bad, and i hope i keep up the good grades. i want to get my AA hopefully next year so i can go back to FAU. If i cant, its ok, but im just going to try and hope for the best.

There were a couple hurricanes. Im sure everyone knows that. Nothing too new there. If you havent donated any money, please do. Even if its just a dollar, donate something. Everything helps.

Work has been a little slow, but hockey started, so hopefully it will be picking up again. I quit the bar (because i wasnt making any money because of my shift) but a couple of the bartenders have been at eachothers throats, so now i have a better bartending shift. Back on the bar after like a week. haha. Wednesday night volume ( which means i get there at 4 and leave earlier ). Im going to see if every now and then i can close bar just to make a couple extra bucks. i finally got a barshift i wanted.

so... yea. alright, i have to get ready for classes. if anyone actually reads this, leave me a comment, let me know this isnt pointless. haha.

I need to find a way to fit everything in. Im sure ill be alright, i just have a hard time fitting everything in because i tend to procastinate everything. I think i might just have really crappy sleeping habits and im having trouble paying attention. Either that, or i have A.D.D. and dont know it. ;/

ahhhh man this is going to be a long ass weekend. lets look at the schedule...

Friday: Station 1 (4pm -... 11//12pmish?)
Saturday: Am Bar (9am prep - 4pm)
Station 7 (6pm- 11:30//12:00am)
Sunday: Am Bar (9am prep - 4pm)
Station 12 (4pm- Close @ 11)

if someone can find a good couple of hours in between that for me to sleep and eat, let me know, because i cant find it. haha.. this is going to suck pretty badly. i hope i atleast make some cash.

its like 1130 and im still sitting in bed... i got up @ 10.. but i dont want to get up today. i know that if i get out of bed my disfunctional weekend is bound to start. if i dont wake up, maybe the weekend will just pass me by...

i miss shannon... everything in life has been great. my little world has been perfect, and i know this weekend is going to be entirely too long.

Danny A. wants to goto sebastian in a week or two to go surfing. its been a really long time since ive been surfing, so i know im going to get my ass handed to me by waves, even if its flat. i need a good surfing trip.

i just want to stop the clock. i want to sleep for an uncharted amount of time just to make sure im ready for this weekend, because i know i wont be sleeping much. When i say much, i mean hardly at all. I got my 30th and 31st shift covered for my dads bday, but i have to work the night of the 31st... i have no idea what to get him for his bday. hes hard to shop for, and i dont like shopping. the mall is the devil.

*Sigh*... its time to face it all.

it seems like yesterday we had the world our way...
